Parents, Guardians
|
Help your child learn the rules of the library and show them the best ways to behave in the library by supervising your child’s experience while in the building. Our staff will do all they can to help you and your child enjoy and benefit from the time you spend here, but your child's experience at the library depends upon you. Young children, under the age of 8, should not be left alone in Sara’s Room. The library is a public building and the staff cannot be responsible for your child’s behavior or safety. The staff of Children’s Services respects your exclusive right to make decisions about what your child reads and views. |

Electronic Resources |
The information superhighway is growing and children are not left behind at Newton County Library. Located in the Reference section of the Children’s department, Children’s Internet terminals are available. A parent must accompany each child using the Internet in the library. In addition to this source of information, children may also use computers with a menu of desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point without Internet access and without the direct supervision of a parent or guardian. Printing is available from all computers for black & white at 15¢ a page and color at 75¢ a page. |
