As part of its service to the community, the Newton County Library System provides meeting facilities for use by groups or organizations.
Facilities
available are:
Meeting Room (by reservation only) 100 seats
Study Rooms (1st come/1st served) 2-4 seats

Room Fees:
There is no charge to use the Study Rooms.
The library charges a $25.00 maintenance fee for each Meeting Room time slot that is reserved and used. The maintenance fee is increased to $50.00, per time slot, if the individual or group serves food and/or drink in the Meeting Room at any time during the event. The charge to use the Meeting Room equipment is included in the maintenance fee.
Meeting Room reservations are scheduled by 3-hour time slots. Each time slot corresponds to the following:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday

Tuesday or Thursday

| 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM |
| 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM |
Reservations for the Meeting Room:
Reservations may be made by telephoning 770-787-3231 or in person. A completed application with appropriate fees must be returned to the library within 48 hours of making the reservation to confirm the space.
Guidelines:
| All meetings must be open to the public. |
| The facilities cannot be used for commercial purposes. |
| No selling is allowed. |
| No fees may be collected at the Library. |
| You must set up the room and return it as you found it, upon leaving. |
| Meetings may not disrupt the use of the Library by others. Loud noises, amplified music, and loud singing are not acceptable uses of the room. |
| Nothing may be taped, tacked or nailed to the walls or ceiling. |
| No smoking, alcoholic beverages or controlled substances. |
| Children age 7 or younger must be accompanied by parent/guardian at all times. |
| All fees paid will be forfeited for cancellations less than 72 hours before the event. |
| Approval of the reservation is subject to revocation at any time by the Library Board of Trustees upon recommendation by the Library Director. |
| A function may no begin before nor extend beyond regular Library hours. No entrance by anyone before 10:00 AM |
| Limit of 6 meetings/calendar year. |
